How to Lead a Rally

The Rally is where every serve team comes together, usually on the last Sunday of the month, for vision, celebration, and what is coming next. A huddle readies one team. A rally reminds everyone they are part of something bigger. Total time: 5 to 7 minutes.

0:00 to 0:30 | Welcome and Thank You

Set the tone.

  • Greet everyone with warmth and energy.

  • Thank them for showing up early and for being faithful.

  • Remind them of our WHY: "We don't just serve. We lead people to Jesus through every interaction."

0:30 to 2:00 | Key Updates

Keep the team informed and involved.

Mention the major upcoming events or needs. For example:

  • Serve Week sign-ups are open.

  • Wednesday Nights with Pastor John at 7 PM. Come get refreshed.

  • Water Baptism today after second service. Let's celebrate life change.

End with where to go for more: the Serve Hub, WhatsApp, or CCB.

2:00 to 3:30 | Honor Moments

Celebrate what God is doing through people.

  • Badge of Honor: highlight someone who went above and beyond.

  • Birthdays and milestones: clap in and celebrate.

  • New volunteers: clap them in and welcome them with warmth.

3:30 to 5:00 | Scripture & Focus

Refocus hearts before serving.

Choose one simple verse and make it personal, team-based, and service-oriented:

  • Apply to Me: what does this mean for my heart today?

  • Apply to We: how does this shape how we serve as a team?

  • Apply to Serving: what posture should I carry into today?

5:00 to 7:00 | Prayer

Cover the day in faith. Pray over:

  • The team and its unity

  • The people we are about to serve

  • That God would move powerfully through our teams and ministry

Tips for leaders

  • Collect honor stories ahead of time. Ask team leaders on Wednesday for one name and one story. The best Badge of Honor moments are specific.

  • Keep updates to three. More than that and nobody remembers any of them.

  • Hold the room across teams. Call out a different area each month so every team hears its name over time
